How do I increase my intelligence and what good is intelligence?
A:
In Sector 3, visit the Library, click on the 50Mhz 8M Mac link, and type in
‘knowledge’ without the quotes and you will meet a master that will allow you
to read a book to boost your intelligence. You will use 0.2 energy to get 0.02 intelligence; you can do this until your energy runs
out. Intelligence is used to control your Mechs and weapons
better, and used to make a profit in your personal store.
Q:
How do I get a personal store and how do I make a profit?
A:
Go to Sector 3, visit the Library, click on the 50Mhz
8M Mac link, type in ‘business’ without the quotes and it will open up a store
for you. Checks are used to buy inventory for the
store, the more checks you use the more chance you have of earning a profit.
You need a high intelligence to earn a profit; some players with an
intelligence of 10 are reporting that they are not earning a profit. I suggest
an intelligence of 20 or higher before you put any checks into a store.
Q:
My Mech gets a stalemate every time I use it. How can I beat the other players?
A:
Save Gold Coins to get an Upgrade Subscription, answer the question of the day
correctly and earn 50 Gold Coins, or save up your credits and buy them at the
Marketplace in Sector 3. Once you have an Upgrade Subscription, you can upgrade
your Mechs to have a better Agility, Strength, and Stamina. You choose the
power level to power the circuit gain, if it says you can power it more kick it
up one level, if it says you are overpowering it knock it down one level. Once
you reach the optimum level, write it down for each attribute of your Mech so
you can remember it. As your Mech gets more powerful
the power gain will go up as well.
Q:
What are Strength, Agility, and Stamina used for?
A:
Strength determines the damage your Mech can do to an enemy Mech, also
intelligence and weapon have a factor here as well. Agility determines if your
Mech hit the enemy Mech or if your Mech can evade an enemy Mech. Stamina
determines a reduction of damage dealt to your Mech by another Mech and armor
plays a factor here as well.
Q:
How do I win battles?
A:
Get an upgrade subscription for your Mechs and upgrade them to high levels. Buy
a better weapon or armor for your Mechs. Pick on people weaker than you with a
low win/loss ratio and beat them. Make sure that they have fewer Mechs than you
do, a lower NW than you, and a winning streak of 30% or less. Also, do not
battle players in a clan, unless you are in a clan and are at war with them. You
can also use upgrade circuits when your Mech goes up a level to increase its
Agility, Strength, Stamina, and Hit Points.

What are the benefits of joining a clan?
A:
Answers to the Question of the Day posted on clan forums. There is also
hospital coverage for your Mechs in the repair center provided by the clan.
Salaries, loans, weapons and armor can be given out.
You get protection from other players out to destroy you. Advice, hints, and
tips from clan members.
Q:
I need to make some money in the game, how do I do it?
A:
If you are desperate, you can always work at MechDonald’s for 50 credits for every 0.5 energy you spend. When you turn 21, you can
move boxes at the Bar for credits for 1 energy each
box you move. You can play your tokens in the arcade for Hangman and/or Black
Jack; if you are no good at those games, you can sell your tokens for 8 credits each at the arcade. Save up Gold Coins to get a
mining pass and mine for silver and gold, then sell it at the Market Place.
Vote on MechaStrike and earn Gems to be redeemed for
other things. Earn Free Points by visiting the Point Center and signing up for
free offers, and then hitting Print Screen and pasting the screen to a Paint
Program and then saving the file and emailing Sam1 at federation-games.com the
image, along with your ID number. If you have enough credits you can play the
stock exchange, but beware that like the real stock exchange you can easily
lose a bundle or tie your money up waiting for the
stock to hit a big payoff.
Q:
I need a cheaper weapon or armor than the Armory sells, what can I do?
A:
Visit the Pawn Shop and see if someone sold it a weapon or armor, you can pay
for at a discount. Visit the forum and post an ad on the Trading forum. Join
the chat and see if anyone can sell you a weapon or armor or donate one to you.
Join a clan and see if they can give you a weapon or armor.
Q:
I need to earn some experience for me and my Mechs, how do I do it?
A:
You can battle players weaker than your status and earn experience and credits.
You can enter the plains and fight players and monsters to earn experience and
credits and find other stuff too. You can enter the sands and cave, hunt for Alqueda people, and earn experience and gold coins, if you
capture one you get the credits for the bounty.
